There will naturally be a saturation point to all of these membrane panels as demand is not limitless and the synths are very old. Therefore, so we are not left with £0,000s worth membranes sat in stock, we have to judge demand and stock accordingly. Please be aware that one day they will only be available by order at much dearer prices…if at all, as there will be a point it’s not cost effective…

This is a high quality full membrane cover, not an overlay. It fully replaces your current panel after removal.

Supplied with self-peel sticky backing that is precision cut so that no glue is where the buttons are on your synth.

Note : This new panel is much more durable that original and slightly thicker. If you try it out over your old panel before fitting, you’ll see everything will work ok, but there will be a difference in the flexibility and travel naturally. So, as you are fitting a new panel to an old synth, there may be several reasons why the buttons ‘still work’ but don’t actually click the same way. For instance, every circuit board will have different degrees of flex, wrong screws in it from past owners, possible different switches, board thickness changed throughout production etc. Please don’t despair - If this happens, simply add nylon washers to the board to step the buttons a few microns away ( 0.2mm - 0.3 mm etc ). We have had many cases when this is just not needed and some do.

What you’ll need:

You need insulation tape ( or any taper that’s not too sticky ) this is to hold new panel in place while peeling backing.

Hair Dryer to loosen the old panel and glue residue.

Sticky stuff / Glue remover ( when get going, a ball of residue is great ).

A scraper, soft edged so not to scratch the metalwork.

Damp cloth to wipe panel once stripped. MAKE SURE NO bits left. Also the damp cloth can leave moisture that can help the new panel move slightly if required.

Aprox 2 hrs - to do a thorough clean, neat factory look job. Please see also fitting of DX7 panel on Youtube for similar guidance.
